Cardiac Nurse - ICU

As part of the multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for the care of cardiology patients in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. To be successful in this team, you must be a team player, flexible with changes, clear communicator, understands and assists with the roles of their peers, and is able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

We are looking for

Some Highlighted Responsibilities
  • Management of patients from newborn to adulthood with congenital or acquired heart disease.
  • Pre/Post-operative management of patients undergoing open heart surgery.
  • Facilitation and management of critical procedures at the bedside in the CICU, such as line placement and intubation.
  • Modality Implementation: Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy, Peritoneal Dialysis, ECMO (extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation life support), and Ventricular Assist Device.
  • Float to PICU, TICU and Inpatient Cardiology Floor
A bit about the shifts
  • 12-hour Shifts with Weekend and Holiday requirements
  • Shift/Location: Night shift, 7p-7a, with rotating weekend and holiday requirements.

Your profile

  • Experience: 2 years’ RN experience in critical care, preferably CICU
  • Education: BSc Nursing
  • License: TX RN License
  • Certification: BLS
